Nice to meet you!

For the past 22 years, I've immersed myself in the practice, teaching, and exploration of Eastern medicine under the guidance of my mentor, Dr. CJ Chen. Dr. Chen's journey led him to the deep study of the Su Wen in China. The Su Wen holds invaluable insights into effective treatments, yet much of its wisdom was threatened during China's cultural revolution, leaving a diluted practice of Eastern medicine in its wake, both in the States and in China.

Dr. Chen's dedication to preserving this ancient knowledge is profound. He learned the Su Wen from a handwritten copy passed down by his teacher, a method employed by many to safeguard the text during tumultuous times. We're fortunate here in the Midwest to have such a teacher among us.

The Su Wen's full illumination came to light in 2011 with a comprehensive English translation by German medical historian, Paul Unschuld. Before this, Dr. Chen would impart its teachings to his students through his own translation from Chinese to English.

My journey alongside Dr. Chen has been transformative. Delving into the depths of the Su Wen and benefiting from Dr. Chen's vast expertise has honed my skills as an acupuncturist. I eagerly anticipate sharing this wealth of knowledge with you, my patient.

Additionally, I've had the privilege of educating fellow healthcare professionals on Eastern medical principles at institutions like the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Baker College, and Lansing Community College.

In the ancient dialogues of the Su Wen, the Yellow Emperor's questions sparked profound insights. I, too, relish questions and take pleasure in guiding my patients through the creative and logical healing pathways of Eastern medicine. It's vital to not only experience its benefits but also grasp its approach. I'm excited to embark on this journey with you!
